Donate Life Texas Statement Regarding COVID-19

As you are aware, Donate Life Texas takes our responsibility to the donation and transplant community seriously.  With the ongoing spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the speed at which things are changing around us, Donate Life Texas is encouraging the public, and the donation and transplantation community to cancel all in-person events through the month of April (National Donate Life Month).

Our priority is the safety and health of the recipients, donor families, living donors, and both the public and professional Donate Life communities. We continue to follow the guidance of local, state and federal authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We ask that everyone take action to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Donate Life Texas will be taking a more online approach for April’s Donate Life Month observances. Please join us on FacebookInstagramTwitter.

In addition, we encourage the public to follow Donate Life America (DLA) to see how they can help honor donors, recipients, and their families and caregivers. DLA will also be recognizing the clinical teams continuing their dedicated work during this time to help honor the gift of donation and save the lives of those waiting for a second chance at life.

Thank you all for being partners in the lifesaving Donate Life mission, and helping make organ, eye and tissue donation possible.
